Cindy Emory is a concert harpist who also enjoys teaching both orchestral pedal and folk harp in the Knoxville, Tennessee area. She believes people of all ages and abilities can enjoy the benefits of making music and learning to play an instrument. Call or email for inquiries about lessons and obtaining an instrument.
Cindy has been Principal Harpist with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra since 2002. In addition, she serves as Principal Harpist with the Knoxville Opera and the Symphony of the Mountains. See her Facebook page for upcoming recitals and concerts.
In 1994, Cindy was one of only 2 US citizens to compete in the prestigious International Harp Contest held in Jerusalem, Israel.
Cindy received a Graduate Performance Diploma from the Peabody Conservatory of Music, Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Music Performance from Georgia State University.
Her teachers have included Elisabeth Remy Johnson, Alice Chalifoux, Eileen Mason and Eleanor England Hoadley.
